Adityanath who is chiefly identified as the Chief Priest of the Gauraksh Peeth, but at the same time he is also known as a hardworking and combative political leader. This is the reason that in 1998 when he was elected MP from Gorakhpur for the first time, he went on to winning this seat for five times in a row. The fact that he was the youngest MP in the country which has added one more feather on his cap and today he has successfully established himself as the Chief Minister of UP.

Life introduction of Yogi Adityanath

 

Yogi Adityanath was born on 5th June 1972, in Panchoor village of Shyamkeshwar area of Paudi Garhwal district situated in Uttarakhand to a Garhwali Rajput family. His father’s name is Anand Singh Bisht and mother’s name is Savitri Devi. Yogi Adityanath is the second among three brothers. His elder brother Manendra Singh works as a lab assistant in Guru Gorakhnath Inter College of the Chief Priest Avaidyanath in Badthya village, whereas his younger brother Manendra Singh is also associated with the same institute as spokesman and journalist. He has three elder sisters who have been married in Delhi, Roorki and Neelkand nearby to Rishikesh. Yogi Adityanath’s real name is Ajay Singh

 

He started his early education in 1977 in a local school of Gaja in Tihri and passed his grade 10th examination in 1987 from the same school. He passed his intermediate in 1989 from Shri Bharat Mandir inter College in Rishikesh. He joined the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad in 1990 while pursuing his graduation. He passed B.Sc in Mathematics in 1992 from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Srinagar (Uttarakhand). He came to Gorakhpur in 1993 while studying M.Sc Mathematics to do research in Guru Gorakhnath. Here at Gorakhnath Peeth, Mahant Avaidyanath noticed him. Thereafter, in 1994 he became monk, after that he was renamed as Yogi Adityanath.
After the demise of Guru Mahant Avaidyanath on 12th September 2014, he became the Chief Priest. Two days later he was made the Peethadheshwar of the temple as per the traditional ceremony of Nath creed.

 

Political journey of Yogi Adityanath

 

In 1998, Avaidyanath completely quit politics and announced Yogi Adityanath as his successor, and thus the beginning of Yogi Adityanath’s political career. In 1998, he reached the parliament after winning the Lok Sabha seat from Gorakhpur. Since 1998 Yogi Adityanath has been representing this constituency. He is one of the important faces in UP, BJP. He became the member of the parliament (MP) for the fifth time in 2014. He has also been a part of many controversies while walking in the path of nationalism, but his power always grew. He was the star campaigner for BJP during the Vidhan Sabha election of 2017. He conducted more than 175 rallies in the eastern and western UP. Yogi Adityanath has indespensible role to play in making BJP win with an overwhelming majority.

 

Yogi Adityanath is among the list of MPs who entered the Lok Sabha at the very young age of 26. He was the youngest MP in the 12th Lok sabha. Thereafter he has been elected MP constitutively for five times in1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014.
He has been the centre point of politics in eastern UP, especially in Gorakhpur area. Even in the Vidhan Sabha election it was yogi who was given the responsibility to give an aggressive edge to the agenda of Hinduism.

 

He has been in the limeLight because of religious conversions and Ghar wapasi. In 2005, Yogi Adityanath had allegedly done the purification of 1800 Christians and got them included in Hinduism. This work of purification of Christians was accomplished in the Eta district of Uttar Pradesh.

 

People believe that Yogi is focused more on the development of nationalism and not on the development of specific caste or creed. Some people have also been of the opinion that Yogi Adityanath being a nationalist leader is just a rumour that and that it is not the same in reality. He has a deep sense of respect for all the religions but yes, in case there is some kind of injustice happening anywhere it is not wrong to speak and do something about it.

 

In the year 2002 to Yogi Adityanath successfully formed an organisation “Hindu Yuva Vahini” in Purvanchal region of UP
This is a social, cultural and nationalst group of the Hindu Youth. By establishing the organisation, Yogi Adityanath added the enormous power of Hindu youth. This organisation was the main force behind compaigns like Ghar Wapasi, Cow protection and Hindu Restoration. In the villages of the eastern UP and units of Hindu Vahini were created in mass scale. A huge number of youth got themselves enrolled in these units. Many leaders from these units later on joined active politics.

 

Religious and social life of Yogi Adityanath

 

Whereon one hand the entire eastern Uttar Pradesh was shackled by the Jehad, religious conversions, naxalites and Maoists violence, corruption and rising crime, on the other hand the sacred premises of the world famous Shri Gorakshnath Temple of Gorakhpur of Nath creed was conducted a ceremony of crowning of the successor of the chief priest Avaidyanath Maharaj, Yogi Adityanath, was going on upon the insistence of Shiv Goraksh Mahayogi Gorakhnath on 15th February 1994.

Law and order

 

The first task that CM Yogi Adityanath worked on was law and order. He went for inspecting the River Front. On seeing the wastage and shortfalls in the project, he immediately issued an order for all the principal secretaries of all departments to analyse progress on all other projects in their respective departments and start working on controlling useless expenses within a week. He also asked them to complete all the project within the stipulated time and maintain highest level of quality so that the public could benefit from the same. To stop corruption, he warned that he would not let the hard earned money of the people be squandered away.

 

Yogi has repeatedly assured that nobody should be fearful. Yogi government will move on the same way of development as shown by Modi government. Every expectations of the public would be fulfilled along with renovation of sugar mills, stopping escapism of youth, construction of AIIMS and fertilizer factory within the stipulated time. We have full support of the public and the workers. This is his true strength. He we will established law and order, and begin with the new era of development.

 

From Pavement to Parliament

 

When Yogi was studying he was deeply hurt by the distortion of Sanatan Hindu religion and attacks on it. This is what inspired him to leave all the mundane things and attend monkhood at a very young age. He did his graduation with science and maths, and was active in various protests since his student life.

 

After attaining monkhood he won over the prevalent myth that surrounded monks. Instead of sitting at a religious place and worshiping he set about travelling villages and interiors of the country. It was just a matter of time before millions of people joined him. This campaign created the history of Hindu revival and it is started reaching every individual of the country.

 

First of all he started campaigning for public awareness at a comprehensive level in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He brought together the Hindu society to fight against the social evils like untouchability and accomplished the task to respectful religious conversion of Hindus. Through the group feasting with the public also accomplished the task protection of cows.

 

Yogi has completely devoted himself to task the Hindu revival by bringing together the youth from the villagers, countryside, cities and even the ones sitting at homes. All this has been possible because of his multi-faceted personality. Not just religion but he intends to serve the country through his social, political and cultural activities.

 

Upon the instance of the public and his Guru, Yogi fought the Lok Sabha election of 1998 and became the youngest MP of the Indian parliament. Because of the great works that he did for the public he was made for the member of Lok Sabha four times in 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014

 

Yogi : A household name

 

Chief Minister Yogi is a renowned personality in Gorakhpur. This is the reason that even today he has the final say in Gorakhpur commissionary and in the state too. This is why the cases like kidnapping and goon taxes have never been happened here. Irrespectively of the party that formed the government, he always has his influence in Gorakhpur.
You can make out the position of Yogi by the instance that one he was upset and did not attend L. K. Advani’s assembly. Then Shri Advani himself went and met him at Gorakhnath temple. Thereafter he always made Radhamohan Das Agarwal as his candidate for Vidhan Sabha. Shiv Pratap Shukla has become one of the extra candidates. Adityanath has always done that whatever he felt like. With this own willpower and the support of BJP he has always ensure that his plans were effectively executed. He is one such person whose fame has gone beyond eastern UP.

 

The workers of his ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini’ have helped him attaining glorious heights. People now blindly vote for Yogi Adityanath and his associates. This love of the people is establishing him as one of the biggest leaders.

 

Struggling life of Yogi Adityanath

 

It is not that Yogi has reached the position easily where he is today. Looking at his life that has been filled with hardship it feels like he is set to take further the tradition of Indian saints and sages. Before him also India has witnessed that despite all the sacrifices made by the saints and sages they have always struggled against social evils. Yogi has also joined the list. Yogi Adityanath was all over the media as soon as he became the chief minister. Everybody knows Yogi as the saviour of Hindus and that it is he who started with widespread campaigns against love jehad and religious conversions. Yogi’s word is the final say for his followers who are always ready to even sacrifice their lives for the same.
